Have you always dreamt of getting married in Tuscany? Now your dream could come true! Legal weddings are possible for foreign couples, but according to your nationality you might have to navigate a fair amount of bureaucracy. If you can deal with that, I will be more than happy to offer you my interpretation services during the wedding ceremony. As a matter of fact, it’s mandatory to have an interpreter if you don’t speak Italian.
However, if you don’t want to get lost in Italian red tape you can always decide to get legally married in your country and then hold a symbolic ceremony in Italy. In this case you won’t have to produce any paperwork and you’ll be able to fully concentrate on the ceremony which can of course be customised to reflect your unique love story. You will also have more freedom in the choice of your wedding location, as that won’t necessarily have to be a so-called “casa comunale” (a Town Hall or an authorised venue). And the best part of it is… anyone can be your celebrant! So you can ask a friend or a relative or you can contact a professional officiant like me. We’ll have an initial, short video call during which we’ll get to know each other and if you decide to entrust me with the celebration of your wedding, we’ll have a second video call during which I will collect information about you, your love story, and starting from that we will craft a tailor-made ceremony that can also include a symbolic ritual.
I am fluent in both English and German (and Italian of course!) and combine my passion for languages with my passion for writing beautiful wedding ceremonies.
