About me

I am a Florence-based English <> Italian and German <> Italian interpreter and translator. I have been working as a freelance interpreter and translator since 2005, when I graduated from the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators in Forlì, University of Bologna.
From December 2005 to December 2008 I lived in Vienna on a permanent basis, which enabled me to further improve my knowledge of German. I currently divide my time between Tuscany and Vienna.
My strong commitment, excellent training, professionalism, and ability to perform well in high-pressure situations have enabled me to build long-lasting business relationships with translation companies and direct clients.
Over the course of my professional career, I have interpreted and translated for projects in many subject areas, including fashion, textiles, automotive, mechanics, botany, politics, cosmetics, wine & food,... I always prepare diligently for assignments through in-depth subject-specific research and maintenance of terminology databases.
I work as an interpreter on the occasion of congresses, conferences, corporate meetings, business meetings, trade fairs, business negotiations, weddings.
I am a member of the professional associations Tradinfo and AITI.
Since November 2020 I have been teaching liaison, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting German <> Italian at SSML (Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici) in Pisa.
